This artwork showcases a character that I have designed in their natural environment. I based my character on the concept of a Psychopomp, an entity that transports newly deceased souls into the afterlife. In this Illustration, Asra is transporting a new spirit across the river of souls into the afterlife. My intention with this piece was to show that although the land between life and death can be mystical, danger always lurks below the surface.
